"...[Gordon-Levitt] is unaffected and engaging as Zeke, while Mueller-Stahl plays uncle Wilhelm with just the right mix of gravity and compassion..."

It's a clash of two cultures when a none-too-innocent city girl is forced to hide out with a colony of ultra-religious Hutterites until she can find loot stashed on their land. Things get even worse when their law dictates she must get married--to a 12 year-old boy!
Peter and Havana, a reckless couple in love and crime, just robbed a carnival safe. When they reach the Canadian border, the lovers-on-the-lam retreat to Peter's remote hometown. There's only one catch: Peter grew up in an austere, reclusive religious community where women are subjugated and expected to minister to their mates. Upon their arrival, the couple is welcomed with open arms, but free-spirited Havana has got to pretend she's Peter's newly betrothed -- a young maiden eager to convert to their forbidding religion. Before Peter has the chance to tell her where the money's hidden, he's killed in a car accident. But Havana's determined to stick around till she finds the stash, even if it means taking advantage of an obscure biblical law and marrying Peter's 12-year-old brother to do so.
