Not every musician gets a whole rhythm pattern named after him, but Bo Diddley's signature shave-and-a-haircut rhythm is known as just that, the Bo Diddley, and while he worked in other patterns, that instantly recognizable rhythm served him well. This set of a dozen live tracks features the song that started it all, "Hey! Bo Diddley," as well as versions of "Mona," "You Can't Judge a Book by the Cover," and other Bo Diddley staples, but the live setting gets a bit bothersome at times. Never fear, though -- that Bo Diddley thing works every time. ~ Steve Leggett
