Performers, Cast and Crew:
Based partially on a number of real tragedies that occurred in Toronto involving fate and random accidents, THE LIFE BEFORE THIS is comprised of six intertwining stories, each chronicling the twelve hours of a person's life before a cafe shooting. Focusing on how small, seemingly innocent decisions can change or end a person's life, exposing the tension and frustration often lurking beneath the facade of routine city life. Lead by a strong ensemble cast, including the radiant Ms. Polley, the film offers a fascinating look at the tensions bubbling underneath the surface of everyday life.
Description by Image Entertainment:
Tomorrow is never a sure thing--when today may be your last. Several innocent bystanders are hurt or killed when a casino heist gone wrong spills into the neighboring cafe. We are then taken back in time to the morning of the shooting and follow the lives of the bystanders throughout their day to see what choices, in an alternate reality, would change the outcome of the impending doom.
