Description by OLDIES.com:

Oscar winner Gregory Peck (To Kill a Mockingbird) stars in this "brilliantly cast" (The Hollywood Reporter) Western epic featuring "an unusually fine story and magnificent direction -- unleashing dramatic power seldom found in this type of film!" (Daily Variety)

A band of outlaws, led by tough, gruff Stretch (Peck) find themselves knocking at death's door after becoming lost in the treacherous western Badlands -- only to find their salvation in the lonesome town called Yellow Sky, where the only inhabitants are a doddering old man and his mysterious alluring daughter. But their deliverance from danger is short-lived when the gan discovers a fateful secret hidden within the dusty, rotting walls of this ghost town -- one that will turn brother against brother in a desperate battle to the death!

Special features include a poster and "one sheet" display, production still photo gallery, and behind-the-scenes photos.

Product Description:

William Wellman deftly directed this wide-open Western packed with suspense and set in the Wild West during 1867. Gregory Peck plays Stretch, the leader of a gang of saddletramps who are robbing banks across the frontier. In their travels they come across an abandoned town strangely inhabited by only one old man and his daughter, Mike, who is played in a spirited turn by Anne Baxter. The two put a wrench in the plans of the outlaws, who were hoping to hide out in peace. As the sex-starved outlaws circle the rambunctious young woman, they also wonder if the bizarre duo could be sitting on a hidden gold mine. Richard Widmark is noteworthy as Dude, the only other outlaw bad enough to give Peck a run for his money. LaMar Trotti has fashioned a great script, based on a story by W.R. Burnett, that is similar in plot to that of Shakespeare’s THE TEMPEST.
