Ron Isley's first solo album since a 2003 collaboration with Burt Bacharach, Mr. I -- a Def Jam release -- involves production and songwriting input from members of a generation who grew up on his music, including Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, Tank, and Greg Curtis. There are vocal guest appearances as well, including one from Lauryn Hill, who drops in on a version of Bacharach's "Close to You."
