Several of country music's other most outspoken national defenders are also present (Charlie Daniels, Hank Williams Jr., Aaron Tippin), as well as somewhat younger, but no less fervent, supporters of the cause (Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride). While the songs here range from tear-jerking (David Ball's "Riding with Private Malone") to confrontational (Daniels's "This Ain't No Rag, It's a Flag"), all are imbued with down-home sound and spirit that make good on the album title's promise.
