Description by OLDIES.com:

Recorded close to the release of the landmark Teddy album and his first gold single, "Close the Door," Teddy! Live in '79 captures the magic and the heat of this mighty soulman's legendary live performances. In addition to his solo material, Teddy also performs a medley of his biggest Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes hits and belts out a soulful cover of Eric Carmen's "All By Myself," which has never appeared on a Teddy Pendergrass release until now.

Product Description:

With his husky croon and Philly-soul-style grooves, Teddy Pendergrass reigned as one of the most popular R&B singers of the late 1970s and early '80s, excelling at seductive bedroom slow-jams alongside his fellow ladykillers Barry White and Al Green. This concert film captures the R&B loverman at the height of his critical and commercial success (and just prior to the 1982 car accident that left him confined to a wheelchair) with a live performance recorded at Lake Tahoe's Sahara Casino on February 2, 1979, featuring tracks culled mostly from his TEDDY PENDERGRASS and LIFE IS A SONG WORTH SINGING albums, as well as a medley of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes hits and a stellar cover of Eric Carmen's "All By Myself."
