Description by OLDIES.com:

To celebrate the release of The Curse of Blondie, the band's first new album in five years, America's iconic punk/pop band Blondie stopped in New York City to take fan requests on live television. "Live By Request" originally aired on May 7, 2004 from the John Jay Theater in Manhattan before a live studio audience. Blondie took calls and emails from fans, including the famed director John Waters, and delivered what the fans wanted - smash hits and the latest songs from their venerable career. Presented in Dolby Digital Surround Sound and DTS Surround Sound, this exclusive DVD release of the performance that evening features Blondie at their very best. In fact, the evening was such a blast that Blondie stayed around after the show ended and recorded 4 additional songs, including the stunning acoustic version of "The Dream's Lost on Me," which are featured in this collection for the first

Product Description:

Exploding out of the New York City punk scene in the late 1970s, Blondie quickly rose to fame. The charismatic Deborah Harry lead the group, but as they were always at pains to point out, Blondie's strengths lay in their performances as a band. Combining sugary pop-fuelled hooks with the sassy street smarts of Harry's vocal stylings, Blondie were uniquely popular in both mainstream and arty circles. LIVE BY REQUEST was shot on May 7th, 2004, and sees the band working their way through a number of huge hits, as well as a selection of songs from their "The Curse of Blondie" album. Among the tracks featured are "Hangin' On The Telephone," "Rapture," "Heart of Glass," "Union City Blue," "Tide Is High," and many others.
