In the days before Disneyland, Coney Island was considered the world's greatest amusement park with three "pleasure domes": Steeplechase, Luna Park, and Dreamland. Features rare archival photography, newsreel footage, interviews, and quotes of the day read off camera by Eli Wallach, Frances Sternhagen, George Plimpton, Judd Hirsch, Lois Smith, Vincent Gardenia, and Jerry Orbach. Produced and directed by award-winning documentary filmmaker Ric Burns. Presented by PBS Television.
