A futuristic sci-fi adventure film about a group of roller-skating orphans who try to save a mystical alien from destruction, while rebelling against the evil power that rules their arid planet. Features special effects by Oscar-winner Richard Edlund.

Plot Synopsis:

Futuristic tale, in which Earth has become a water-starved planet. A group of maverick, roller-skating teens, who call themselves "solarbabies", are guided by a mystical sphere named "Bodhi", that has the ability to provide the planet with water. But when Bodhi is stolen, the solarbabies embark on a high-rolling adventure, in a gallant effort to retrieve the powerful orb.
