Season Two of BONANZA (1959-73), one of the most popular and longest-running western sagas in the history of television (second only to GUNSMOKE) originally ran from early September of 1960 through early June 1961, and spanned 34 episodes, the first 18 of which appear in this box set. This was the season that immediately preceded BONANZA's move to Sunday nights and its meteoric escalation in popularity. From 1960-61, the series was still finding its footing with American audiences. Adventures featured in this set include DENVER MCKEE, THE MISSION, DAY OF RECKONING and THE LAST VIKING.
