Product Description:

1987's IN PERSON AT THE PLAZA is one of the best of the several live Eartha Kitt albums. Recorded in an intimate nightclub setting at the legendary New York hotel and backed by a small jazz combo, Miss Kitt runs through a typically idiosyncratic set. Old favorites like "I Wanna Be Evil" and her signature tune, "C'Est Si Bon," are mixed in with surprising choices like "Zharabee," Waray Waray" and the set-closing "Rumania, Rumania." Largely foregoing her trademark slinky ballads, Kitt focuses on comic tunes like the standard "C'mon A My House," "How Could You Believe Me?" and the hilarious "Old-Fashioned Girl." Her voice, as always, is remarkable, and the feisty, funny attitude is infectious. This is Eartha Kitt at her finest.
