Contains tracks recorded for RCA and Groove between 1963-65.
The music on Scott on Groove was recorded after Jack Scott's hit-making era on Capitol was finished. Scott recorded for Groove in the early '60s. During this time, he was trying to refashion his sound into a rock & roll/rockabilly direction. Not all of the attempts were successful, but the set is interesting for dedicated fans, particularly for listeners who can't afford the more comprehensive box set, Classic Scott. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
