This combines Nelson's first two Decca albums (each originally released in 1963) into one CD. Although "Gypsy Woman," "I Got a Woman," and "Fools Rush In" stand up to the best of his early-'60s hits, the rest of the material is too average, and the execution too low-energy, to merit attention from anyone except fervid Nelson fans. It's nonetheless among the best stuff that Nelson would record for the label. Some of the best tracks are also on the anthologies covering the singer's Decca's work, which are recommended alternatives for those not seeking a complete Nelson discography. ~ Richie Unterberger
