An alien spaceship crash lands on the moon after experiencing mechanical failure. Needing help with their repairs, they journey to earth and use their mind control powers to gather the needed scientists. One of the recruited scientists has a metal plate in his head and cannot be controlled by these horrible creatures. He is the only one who can stop them! The story is based on the book "The Gods Hate Kansas."

Rating 4.0 Compact Sci-Fi Mystery Movie Lover: from Trumbull, CT US -- September, 1, 2006

This film was a pleasant surprise. Another fine example of a British sci-fi film produced on a modest budget that presents an excellent, albeit familiar, story line. The atmosphere of "They Came From Beyond Space" is reminescent of the Quatermass films starring Brian Donlevy, except (fortunately) there are no giant, blobby space monsters. This is a suspenseful film, not a special effects extravaganza. Robert Hutton does a fine job of carrying the film, and the supporting cast is top-notch. (You may recognize Jennifer Jayne from "The Crawling Eye".) A treat to see.
