In this outlandish 1960 farce, a bumbling man who has managed to get himself fired from a job working as a guinea pig for a medical organization is conned by the National Atomic Research center into taking what appears to be just another regular gig. But what William Blood doesn't know is that these scientists are literally going to send him to the moon! The joke might be on the research center, though, when their untrained, unwitting astronaut lands somewhere in Australia.
Description by Navarre Corporation/Music Video Distributors/Wham! USA:
William is an unsuccessful guinea pig hired by a medical group looking for a cure for the common cold. Fired from his job he is offered employment by the nearby National Atomic Research Center, who figure that anyone who could fail as a guinea pig is just what they need. They con him into thinking he is taking another guinea pig job, this one testing out some equipment to be used by astronauts. What they fail to tell William is that the testing will be done on him by sending him to the moon. But instead of landing in outer space he lands somewhere in Australia.
