They're back for the third fun-filled time! Following Uptown Saturday Night and Let's Do It Again, Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby play Manny and Dave, two Chicago crooks skilled at ripping off rip-off artists who exploit the poor. They don't intend to give to the poor until a sly detective (James Earl Jones) anonymously pulls a con of his own: they must donate time to the Community Center ... or do time in the Federal pen.
As selfish Robin Hoods evolving into selfless role models, the stars offer the pleasure the best screen teams effortlessly do, while a Curtis Mayfield score and Staple Singers soundtrack tunes make for easy listening. And as it glides toward a grand-finale sting, this light-on-its-feet caper becomes a piece of viewing action not to be missed!
Poitier and Cosby are two slick con men who are talked into helping out a group of troubled teens at a community center. James Earl Jones is the ex-cop who tricks the two into helping.
Fast talking, slow moving Manny Durrell and Dave Anderson are top notch con artists. These thieves have managed to rake it in over the years. But retired police officer Joshua Burke is fed up with these pilfering cads livin' large and showing off. So he blackmails Durrell and Anderson into volunteering at a community youth center for inner city kids. Before they know it, these high class criminals will be baby sitting rough-neck hoods -- an experience they may never forget.
