Description by OLDIES.com:

Disc 1

The John Gillman Story: An embittered outlaw (Bobby Darin) does not want any friends but he's stuck with one little orphaned girl.

The Tiburcio Mendez Story: As Hawks leads four wagons to Los Angeles, he is halted by a band of renegades devoted to keeping gringos out of California. With Leonard Nimoy and Robert Horton.

The Ah Chong Story: When Wooster develops a "take it or leave it" attitude about his cooking, Hale promotes his Chinese helper (Arnold Stang) to chief cook.

The Lieutenant Barton Story: Riding ahead of the train, Hale is wounded in an ambush by a cavalry patrol looking for deserters. The order to fire was given by a sergeant (Dean Jones) who believes in shooting first, asking questions later.

Disc 2

The Nellie Jefferson Story: Chris and Flint are perturbed by the prima-donna behavior of a famous actress (Janice Paige) on the train to Sacramento, but Wooster is enthralled with her and waits in her hand and foot.

The Heather Mahoney Story: The train reaches its Sacramento destination and Hale decides it is the end of the line for him when he falls for a pretty widow (Jane Wyatt).

The Emmet Lawton Story: Duke accidentally kills a gunman terrorizing a town, only to face the vengeance of the self-appointed dictator of the town. With Dennis Hopper.

The Kurt Davos Story: Afraid of dogs, a lady traveler avoids a fellow passenger (Eddie Albert) and his bull dog, but it's they who rescue her when she is charged by a wild bull.

Disc 3

The Tom Tuesday Story: A notorious outlaw (Brian Keith) who is slowly going blind from a gunshot wound has an important rendezvous to keep, so he kidnaps Duke and forces him to guide him across the wild Wyoming territory.

The Abel Weatherly Story: Crossing the Nebraska plains the wagon train comes upon the overturned wagon of a lone sea captain (J.D. Cannon). They give aid to the injured man who, in the middle of the night, tries to kill Hawks.

The Johnny Masters Story: On the way to get a military escort for the train through perilous country, Duke encounters the remains of an Indian raid and saves an Indian turned soldier (Anthony George) from his fellow soldiers who detest him for his ancestry.

The Heather and Hamish Story: A cantankerous Scotsman, seeking a husband for his daughter Heather (Ann Helm), persuades Hamish (Michael Parks) to marry her sight unseen, then makes him sign a marriage contract to insure the deal.
