Though the name Louis Armstrong isn't as synonymous with romance as that of Chet Baker, this collection of love songs is surprisingly suited to candlelight dinners and sundry other forms of romantic dalliance. With an illustrious supporting cast of players that includes the pianist Oscar Peterson and the bassist Ray Brown, Armstrong croons and subtly solos his way through some of the best-known tunes in the genre, including a string-accompanied "Body and Soul," a leisurely "Let's Do It," and a delicate, sweetly affecting "You Go to My Head."
