"...a strong atmosphere of mysterious beauty, drifting and haunting....None of the three pieces goes anywhere in particular...but that's not the point; this is static music for drifting through time."
Darla Records' Bliss Out series aims to bring listeners ambient sounds to help you feel good and mellow. The second installment, Antarctica, by space music couple Windy & Carl, does just that. It's a warm, atmospheric wash of guitar layers that drift in and fade out, created by droning hums, faint but enveloping pulses, suspended notes that give a soaring sensation, and hypnotically repetitive, quiet, and friendly single notes. Altogether, the album is the essence of calm, and is endlessly soothing to hear. ~ Joslyn Layne
