Blue Planet: Seas of Life - Part 2

The second volume of this BBC series includes the episodes "Open Ocean" and "The Deep." "Open Ocean" studies the underwater community in the deepest oceanic landscapes where only the blue of the ocean and the sky above can be seen for miles. Below the surface at these points are where the most active predators dwell. Amazing footage of striped marlin, dolphin, and even shearwater birds hunting gigantic schools of fish highlight this volume of technological and oceanographic wonder. "The Deep" takes the viewer to the abyss. The constant darkness and strange life, plant, and mountainous forms of the ocean's floor are seen at depths no previous underwater film has ever dared descend to.
