Big Broadcast 1938/College Swing

The first feature 'College Swing' while in the same era as 'The Big Broadcast' holds up less well by date and is less amusing. It is for that that it is more difficult to rate a two for one like this.
The 'Broadcast' which is actually more a Fields vehicle is the better of the two by far. While a certainly am also a fan of Mr. Hope, it is Fields here who steals the show. And if you are a fan of Fields, it's worth it just for the one feature, and the other as a bonus.
Of interest also in the 'Broadcast' film is that, if I am not mistaken it was the film which gave Bob Hope his trademark song 'Thanks For the Memories.'
Anyway. Good fun nonsense all round.
