Product Description:

Major League baseball began creating official World Series films in 1943 to support and entertain the U.S. troops serving overseas. These films, which have since grown into dynamic documentaries, include some of the most exciting baseball moments of all time. This volume follows the St Louis Cardinals as they played in the 1943, 1944, and 1946 World Series. In '43 they matched up with the powerful Yankees; the following year witnessed the dramatic "Showdown in St. Louis" against crosstown rival the Browns (that team's first and last Series appearance); and in '46 they took on the powerful Red Sox, who forced them into one of the most exciting Game Sevens in World Series history.
