Filmmakers often like to make fictional accounts of mysterious cities that have remained hidden from human eyes for lengthy periods of time. In this program from the History Channel, a real occurrence of one such city is depicted on screen. Hidden in the overgrown jungle of Western Cambodia, some incredible palaces and temples are uncovered, as the mysterious city of Angkor reveals itself. The program follows the archaeologists who are carefully excavating the ruins, while also pondering the ghosts who, according to local folklore, run rampant throughout the decimated city. An incredibly interesting and informative show results, offering proof that sometimes life really is stranger than fiction.
