Curly Top (1935, 76 Minutes): After the kind trustee of an orphanage adopts little Elizabeth (Shirley Temple) and her older sister Mary (Rochelle Hudson), Mary falls in love with the man. So the adorable Elizabeth decides to play matchmaker and bring her two favorite grown-ups together.

Little Miss Broadway (1938, 72 Minutes): Legendary entertainers George Murphy and Jimmy Durante co-star in this delightful musical. Shirley Temple shines as an orphan adopted by a kind hotel manager (Edward Ellis) who fights to rent rooms despite the owner's (Edna Mae Oliver) threats to close the hotel.

CURLY TOP: Shirley is the destitute little orphan girl who lives in an orphanage and plays cupid for her beautiful sister. They are discovered by a bachelor millionaire who whisks them off to his Park Avenue abode and promptly falls in love with the older sister. Never one to abandon her roots, Temple returns to the orphanage for some rousing song and dance routines with her friends. HEIDI: Set in the Swiss Alps during the 19th Century, the film opens with Heidi's Aunt Dete (Mady Christians) taking her to live with the girl's grandfather Adolph Kramer (Jean Hersholt), a rather ill-tempered hermit. Although the old man at first refuses to speak to the girl, he soon grows to love her. Because of her he agrees to attend church, and the two are accepted into the local community. Heidi's aunt suddenly returns, kidnapping the girl and taking her to the home of her wealthy employer Herr Sesemann (Sidney Blackmer), in Franfurt. He needs a child to spend time with Klara (Marcia Mae Jones), his invalid daughter, since he's often away on business. Heidi soon tries to escape, while her grandfather has already begun the 100-mile journey to Franfurt to find her.

LITTLE MISS BROADWAY: Shirley is a talented orphan who lands in a hotel for entertainers. When the crusty old owner threatens (Edna Oliver) to turn her out, Little Miss Broadway kicks up her heals to the tune of "Be Optimistic," "If All the World Were Paper" and more. George Murphy shows off his tap-dancing skills as Shirley's dance partner.
