Released as a companion piece to the SUPERMAN RETURNS score by John Ottoman, this 2006 compilation features alternative-rock acts, largely of the emo variety, either covering or offering up their own Man-of-Steel-related songs. Highlights of the disc include The Sun's fierce, Gang of Four-like take on the Kinks' "(Wish I Could Fly Like) Superman" and Royal's ultra-catchy reading of "Brainiac's Daughter," penned by XTC's Andy Partridge.
