This was really more of a Sonny Clark (piano) recording, and served to show how tragic his death at such an early age was. All eight selections were Clark originals showcasing his formidable composing talents. With its trio format (George Duvivier was the bassist) the music took on a lean and intimate quality drawing the listener into the center. ~ Bob Rusch, Cadence
