While only on for one season, THE BOOK OF DANIEL succeeded in creating television controversy. Based on the eventful day-to-day life of an atypical Episcopalian priest, the series looked at religion in a new way. Unlike predecessor SEVENTH HEAVEN, THE BOOK OF DANIEL added humor to the mix, featuring pop-in appearances by Jesus Christ himself. Aidan Quinn stars as Reverend Daniel Webster, a family man and community figure who, despite his strong faith in god, doesn't always have the answers. Made likeable through his flaws, Webster clumsily calls on god for help as he struggles with his marriage, kids, neighbors, and even members of his church, including Bishop Congreve (played by Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn). This release contains every episode from the series.
