MYCOLOGY is an anthology documenting the Allman Brothers work in the '90s, and a surprisingly strong set at that, considering these guys are in the unfortunate position of competing with their own legend! To highlight that point, this set concludes with a previously unreleased live track from 1970 featuring the original band lineup with the late Duane Allman and Berry Oakley; it's a tribute to the consistency of the group's musical vision that there's next to no difference in sound between that track and the more recent cuts, (with the exception of the acoustic version of Greg Allman's signature "Midnight Rider").
