During the 1970s and into the '80s mellow rockers were predictable forces on AM style radio (and frequent visitors to the U.S. top 10) with intricately written, breezy pop tunes. The VENTURA HIGHWAY compilation omits the love-it-or-hate-it signature tune, "A Horse with No Name," but includes a bevy of hard-to-dispute classics, such as the title track, "I Need You," and their pert final hit, 1982's "You Can Do Magic."
