Product Description:

A tense, psychological drama about a young girl who is terrified by the sexual advances of a mysterious stranger. Based on the chilling Joyce Carroll Oates story "Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been'" Winner of the Best Dramatic Feature Award at the 1985 U.S. Film Festival, as the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.

Plot Synopsis:

A haunting tale of sexual awakening based on Joyce Carol Oates' short story "Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been'" Fifteen-year-old Connie and her girlfriends spend their long summer days hanging out in the shopping mall trying to pick up boys. Provocatively dressed, in skimpy shorts and halter top, the blonde, flirtatious Connie manages to attract the attention of a sinister, older stud. Things take a menacing turn when the man drops by Connie's house one day while her parents are gone. Suddenly adulthood is a lot closer -- and scarier -- than the restless teen ever imagined.
