Personnel: Pat Benatar (vocals); Neil Giraldo (guitar).
Definitely one of the most unique entries in the Capitol Special Products budget reissue series, this 10-track compilation compares the smart, crafty, downtown New York pop of Blondie with the harder-edged Spandex-and-sweatband Long Island arena rock of Pat Benatar. Benatar wins on consistency, as the five of her hits included here are among her best, including the archetypal "Hit Me with Your Best Shot." The Blondie tracks are the genre-experiment hits: the disco "Call Me" and "Heart of Glass," the soca "The Tide is High," the rap "Rapture," and the punky "One Way or Another." Great for new fans of either artist.
