Good old-fashioned acoustic folk, with no hint of angst or irony, is hard to come by in the indie age, but Dutch songwriterAggie de Kruijf sings her sweet, melodious tunes with just a twist of the blues, and an unselfconscious openness that evokes the folk revival of the 1960s . This refreshing debut CD features multi-instrumentalist Stephan Jankowski who occasionally whips out light electronica-like percussion, the only indication that this is, in fact, a modern recording.
