The most celebrated lawman of the Old West rides again in this first-ever collection of thrilling episodes from the popular TV series "The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp." Hugh O'Brian stars as the famed marshal whose exploits with Doc Holliday, Bat Masterson, and the Clanton Gang are boldly brought to life in episodes based on actual events. With his signature "Buntline Special" in hand, Wyatt Earp held posts in a series of increasingly lawless towns and battled dangerous men in his efforts to keep the peace. Through Ellsworth, Wichita, Dodge City, and Tombstone, Earp's reputation as a just and formidable marshal grew, culminating in a storied gunfight that would seal his legend.
This collection brings together some of the best episodes from this popular TV show, which ran from 1955 to 1961, and tells the story of one of America's most legendary lawmen. Hugh O'Brien plays Wyatt Earp with charisma and dignity in these (mostly) true stories of his adventures with Doc Holliday, Bat Masterson, and the Clanton Gang. The show covered Earp's rise to fame as he worked his way through a series of increasingly lawless towns--from Ellsworth to Wichita, Dodge City, and finally Tombstone. As his reputation grew, so did the dangers he faced. Among the 26 episodes presented here, in chronological order, are those dealing with the notorious gunfight at the O.K. Corral.

TV Western Great
Movie Lover: Hanley Harding from Sunny Isles Beach, FL -- October, 29, 2005
Hugh O'Brian made his acting bones in this long-running and very popular TV western series. Many young wanna-be Sheriff fans held their breath, awaiting the drawing of that neat long-barreled Buntline Special revolver... which meant justice was about to be dispensed on the bad guys; but O'Brian's good acting also held our attention and kept the series popular for a long time.
