Record labels and manufacturers often mark the product casing to indicate
an "overstock" item that is offered for sale at a price significantly lower
than the manufacturer's selling price.
At OLDIES.com all item numbers
beginning with the prefix "VCL" are special clearance items that contain
this small marking. Because of this small marking, we are able to sell
these items to you at significant discount. Many of the audio CDs that
we advertise for $5.98 and lower are still sold for $15 and higher
elsewhere.
Rest assured, the audio CD is in brand-new condition, as we
do not sell used or second-hand product.
The 13th Floor Elevators were the quintessential psychedelic band out of Texas. They were perhaps the quintessential psychedelic band in the entire country, being led by the mad genius Roky Erickson, who is today considered one of the "unknown" legends of Rock and Roll.

Product Description:
13th Floor Elevators includes: Roky Erickson, Stacy Sutherland, Tommy Hall.
Engineers: Hank Poole, Jim Duff, Fred Carroll.
Guitarist Stacy Sutherland wrote most of the songs on 13th Floor Elevators' final studio album, Bull of the Woods, as Roky Erickson was largely absent due to drugs and problems with the law. Decent psychedelic rock -- pretty straight-ahead and disciplined for the genre, actually -- that doesn't match the inspired heights of their previous material. The closing "May the Circle Be Unbroken," with its wads and wads of reverb, may be the strangest thing the band ever cut. ~ Richie Unterberger
