Carl Perkins › Blue Suede Shoes And Other Hits

The Flashback label offers up a nice ten-song compilation of Carl Perkins' best known songs recorded for Sun Studios on Blue Suede Shoes and Other Hits. The title track is obviously represented, as are "Honey Don't," "All Mama's Children," a song he co-wrote with Johnny Cash, and others. Blue Suede Shoes and Other Hits doesn't cover as much ground as other Perkins collections, such as Original Sun Greatest Hits, but as a budget-priced CD, it is hard to beat. ~ Gregory McIntosh
