Description by OLDIES.com:
After a public execution, the good citizens of a small Transylvanian community think they have finally rid themselves of the murderous Count Regula, known to his victims as Dr. Sadism...they were wrong! Even being drawn and quartered does not cripple this sadist. Thirty-five years later, he comes back to seek revenge on the daughter of his intended thirteenth victim and the son o his prosecutor in order to attain immortal life. Borrowing loosely from Poe's "The Pit and the Pendulum", director Harald Reinl does a masterful job of pacing and fills the screen with surreal and spine tingling images.
Count Regula is a Transylvanian murderer (also known as Dr. Sadism), publicly executed by the luckless citizens of the community. However, 35 years later the Count is back, once again ready to work his way through a list of unwitting victims. Seeking immortality, the mad Count must butcher the offspring of his original murderers to attain it!
