The events of September 11 have brought forth an outpouring of charity, patriotic fervor, and good old American entrepreneurial skills, from little flags on sticks to collections of stirring tunes raided from the back catalogs of unsuspecting artists. This title falls into the latter category, being a set of "classic recordings...made while America was first discovering LeAnn Rimes," according to the liner notes. Rimes has an unquestionably great voice, (though here it's heard still in its pubescent incarnation) and most of the content ("God Bless America," "The Lord's Prayer," "Amazing Grace") is unimpeachable.
