Product Description:

Mostly known for her silent screen performances, which have forever sealed her as a timeless icon of the early days of Hollywood, Mary Pickford used the advent of sound to add a playful dimension to characterizations. Though she only made a few sync-sounds films, including this picture--which turned out to be her last--Pickford showed her range and dynamic screen presence. Based on a play, this production follows one couple's trials and tribulations over a 50-year period as they try their best to make a California ranch pay the bills. Leslie Howard (GONE WITH THE WIND) plays Pickford's husband.
