Description by OLDIES.com:

The popular music of Louisiana, known as Zydeco, maintains its unique and distinctive qualities due to the sound of an ever-present accordion. And in the hands of a master like Stanley Dural, Jr., better known in music circles as Buckwheat Zydeco, it's easy to hear why no summer event, barbecue or picnic should go without his brand of music as the centerpiece of entertainment.

His performances run the spectrum from the different spin he put on Hank Williams' "Hey, Good Lookin'" (performed with Dwight Yoakam) to the spicy Cajun feel of the good-rocking-tonight "Pour Tout Quelque'un." David Hidalgo of Los Lobos served as produced for the entire project and played drums on the latter. Buckwheat asked effervescently "What You Gonna Do?" And the answer should very well be to take "Buck's Hot Rod" and race on over 'cause "We're Having A Party." So get into the groove of this well-seasoned blend of traditional and contemporary Zydeco, and follow the smoke signals for a gar-on-teed bon temps.
