Charlie Chaplin started experimenting with long form films, as DOUGH AND DYNAMITE, his first 30 minute film shows. He was coming into his own as a comedian and filmmaker and Essanay studios gave him a free reign to make his own movies (providing, of course that they made money, which was usually the case.) Chaplin was well on his way to becoming the first internationally known superstar, as only the relatively new medium of the movies could do on such a scale. This collection also includes IN THE PARK, THE TRAMP, and BY THE SEA. Available as a single DVD or as part of the larger twelve DVD box set collection.
