From her first big hit, the percolating "Sweet Love," through the smoky "Caught Up in the Rapture," and the sultry "Giving You the Best That I Got," this female answer to Michael McDonald draws the listener in with a combination of irresistible pop hooks (check out that little extra trill at the end of "Rapture"'s chorus) and come-hither arrangements. Operators of heavy machinery and long-distance truck drivers beware--the dreaminess hardly lets up over the length of this set (you'll find the name Anita Baker in the dictionary under "unwind") so you may want to lay your burden down before Baker's seductive voice causes any horrible accidents.
