80's R&B Soul
Music Lover: Myke-N-Ike from Zanadu -- February, 10, 2008
Jeffrey Osborne is truly one of the greatest R&B vocalist of our time.
"Stay With Me Tonight" is in my opinion Jeffrey's tour-de-force project.
Great songwriting, masterful production by the great George Duke and Mr.Osborne's mesmerising vocal skills, make this one of the premier R&B/Pop albums from the 80's.
It's one of those albums/cd's that still sounds as good today as it did when released.
Jeffrey glides effortlessly through both the uptempo and ballad material.
Standout hits include; "Don't You Get So Mad", and "Plane Love".
The ballads shine with; "We're Going All The Way" and "I'll Make Believe".
When you mention the great R&B/Pop balladeers; Lionel, Peabo and Luther...Jeffrey Osborne's name should be right there along with them.
This is good stuff!!
