Product Description:
This limited edition boxed set comes with a personal radio.
If the contents of this two-CD set looks familiar, it's because it was originally issued in Collectables' History of Rock series as The Doo Wop Era, Part 1 and Part 2. Oddly, it's the second volume in the set that contains the majority of garden variety hits like "In the Still of the Night," "Book of Love," "Long Lonely Nights," "Get a Job," and "Denise" with rarities like "I'm So Young" by the Students and "Ankle Bracelet" by the Pyramids largely dotting the landscape of Disc One. With the availability of Rhino's excellent Doo-Wop Box series, there's no reason to look at this set as the 'ultimate collection' by any stretch. If you're really on a budget, you can buy these two discs separately. ~ Cub Koda

On a scale from 1 - 10 this CD is a 25!
If you like doo wop, you must have this - honest.
I don't know who compiled this list of songs, but God bless 'em.
Every one is a favorite of mine that I enjoyed listening to while growing up.
This was the best bargain I ever had.
Thanks guys!
Don't be fooled by the price
Music Lover: Mrs. Rann from Rhode Island, USA -- October, 26, 2007
This collection is better than doo-wop box sets by Rhino and Time Life priced several times higher.
This has everything you could want, and is perhaps the best "compilation" in the genre.
Anyone who loves doo wop will love this double-CD set.
It's a steal
Music Lover: John Leitgeb from Bayonne, NJ US -- September, 13, 2007
Great selection of classic DOO-WOP songs from the 50's and at such a low price. I've seen imitators charge more for substandard music.
These recording are the originals just like the ones heard on the radio over 50 years ago. Brought make many pleasant memories from a time that I can no longer visit except vicariously through this wonderful music?

If this is your first doo-wop cd or considering it for an addition to your collection...GET IT!
This one of the best collections I have ever listened to and proudly own.
If this were an LP, the grooves would be worn white by now.

Ultimate Doo Wop Does It!
Music Lover: Richard Wilson from Apalachin, NY US -- November, 17, 2003
I will probably never rate a disc a perfect 5.0 because that's just an impossible task. Let me just say that Ultimate Doo Wop Collection is just what any doo wop lover needs for his or her collection. The sound quality is as good as one can expect from these old recordings and the package is just fine. We tend to expect more than we should but in this case, the expectations are met and the collection is well...ultimate!
