Biography
Windy Weber and Carl Hultgren are a husband and wife duo from Dearborn, Michigan whose hypnotic brand of space rock is built upon the careful layering of effects and drones using bass and electric guitar. The overall effect is like the most ethereal aspects of the Cocteau Twins divorced from traditional rock concepts like verse-chorus song structure, lyrics, and percussion. Since their self-released 1992 effort, PORTAL, the duo have been fairly prolific, recording albums, EPs, and singles for a wide variety of labels. Some of their more obscure releases were gathered on the three-disc box INTROSPECTION: SINGLES AND RARITIES 1993-2000.
