Biography

21 November 1984, White Planes, New York, USA. Singer-songwriter and guitarist Mason was born in New York State but spent his formative years in the remote colony of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. He was encouraged to begin performing by his parents, both active folk singers, and was exposed from an early age to the classic folk and rock albums in their record collection. Mason made his live debut at the tender age of 11, and while still at high school began writing his own material and performing with a rock band. He graduated to the local live circuit as a solo acoustic performer, saving up enough money to buy a second-hand van and take his show out onto the road. Mason built up a cult following with his affable personality and passionate live performances, playing wherever and whenever anyone would book him.
