Biography
William James Adams Jnr., 15 March 1975, Los Angeles, California, USA. Before launching a solo career during the early twenty-first century, US rapper Will.I.Am came to the attention of hip-hop fans as a member of the multi-ethnic crew the Black Eyed Peas. The original trio, Will.I.Am, his childhood friend Apl.de.Ap, and their friend Taboo, released a pair of critically acclaimed yet woefully commercially ignored albums, 1998s Behind The Front and 2000s Bridging The Gap. Following the release of the latter, Will.I.Am began work on his solo debut. Issued on the UKs BBE label in late 2001, Lost Change continued in the funky trip-hop direction of Black Eyed Peas, and featured guest spots from Planet Asia and Terry Dexter, among others.
