Biography
Taking their cue from renowned US bands such as Weezer and At The Drive-In, Vendetta Red specializes in emo-tinged alt rock. Originating from Seattle, Washington, USA, Vendetta Red formed in 1998, when friends Zach Davidson (vocals, guitar), Erik Chapman (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Justin Cronk (guitar/vocals), Mike Vermillion (bass, keyboards, vocals), and Joseph Childres (drums, vocals) began playing music together. The quintet issued their debut, Blackout Analysis, in 2000, which the band later dismissed as nothing more than a glorified demo. Regional touring built Vendetta Red a substantial following in the Washington area, resulting in the release of what many consider the bands first true studio album, 2001s White Knuckled Substance.
