Biography
This Los Angeles, California, USA-based pop rock outfit arose from the ashes of post-grunge rockers Home Town Hero. Aaron Bruno (vocals) and Drew Stewart (guitar) had released the moderately successful Home Town Hero in 2002, but left their record label after completing the recording of the more pop-orientated follow-up Bitch City. They adopted the name Under The Influence Of Giants to reflect the greater musical diversity of their new project, with their former alt rock direction now intercut with healthy slices of 70s-styled funk pop. Recruiting additional members David Amezcua (bass) and Jamin Wilcox (3 August 1979, USA; drums/keyboards, ex-Audiovent), the quartet signed a recording contract with Island Records and completed work on their debut album.
