Biography
Husband-and-wife team Tuck Andress (28 October 1952, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA) and Patti Cathcart (b. 4 October 1950, San Francisco, California, USA) are a totally fresh and innovative duo making their own subtle versions of contemporary pop in a jazz setting. Andress remarkably sparse electric guitar is set against Cathcarts strong and soulful voice. Their intuitive interplay comes from their close domestic and musical intimacy. On their 1988 debut for the Windham Hill Records label, the duo tackled Cyndi Laupers Time After Time, Richard Rodgers And Lorenz Harts My Romance and Wes Montgomerys Up And At It, as well as their own sparkling composition, Love Is The Key.
